Now it's time for hands-on building! Follow our step-by-step guidance to assemble components and observe live current flow.
Master circuit connections, instrument polarities, and empirical verification of V = I ร R!
Follow the bouncing indicators step-by-step:
โข Step 1: Tune battery voltage for electrical potential push!
โข Step 2โ4: Wire battery, switch, series ammeter, and rheostat into a complete loop!
โข Step 5: Connect digital voltmeter in parallel across the resistance wire!
โข Step 6โ7: Close key switch, click Show Result, and verify constant R = V / I!
Battery provides electrical potential difference (V). The plug key/switch opens or closes the circuit safely.
Very low internal resistance. Must be connected in series so all charges pass directly through it.
Very high internal resistance. Must be connected across the two ends of the test wire without drawing current.
Connected in series to vary total resistance and obtain multiple (V, I) data points for the observation table.
Current is directly proportional to voltage across the conductor at constant temperature: V โ I, so R = V / I.
Resistance increases with wire length (L) and decreases with thickness (A). Nichrome has much higher ฯ than Copper!
